Notes: Raised central bevel flower with possible fleur-de-lys around the scalloped edge. Four posts affix the mount, three of which are remaining. The mount is in Very Fine condition. The posts to attach the mounts are 15mm in length where unbroken. Size of this mount makes it suitable for a man's belt or harness fitting.

From a private collection gathered in the 1980's.

Notes: Unusually large mount for a belt. There are two fixings on the back, one of which remains. Cast in one piece. The lower half of the mount represents the acorn cup and is cross-hatched to resemble the an acorn cup. The half representing the acorn is smoooth, plain and undecorated. The two halves are divided by a raised band. The reverse is plain and undecorated.

Similar to: Almost identical to PAS object: MOUNT. Unique ID: WMID-87E6F6. An complete copper alloy strap fitting or belt mount of Post Medieval date (AD 1500 to AD 1700).
