Lead
token
with WH lettering
LT02
Object: Lead token
Culture: Post Medieval
Country of Origin: Britain
Material: Lead
Size: 18mm x 20mm
Weight: 4.85 grams
Notes: Token is disc shaped. One face has a raised design
of a 6 petalled flower with a raised circular pellet centrally
and one off to the side. It is probably that when new there were
raised pellets in between each of the flower petals, although
this is not certain. The reverse face has two groupings of three,
raised pellets surrounding the letters W H or H M. The token is
worn on the daisy face but in good condition on the lettering
side. The casting is off-centre on both sides.
