Religion. Where would we be without it? Probably having a very nice time, thank you. The war between God and Satan rages ever onwards with many helpful texts and religious zeal unabated.

No date but looks consistant with books from 1880-1930. 42 chapters including "The Bible & The French Revolution," "The Pilgrim Fathers," "Luthers Seperation from Rome," and "Snares of Satan."
	"Things In Which It Is Impossible For God To Lie" Dedicated to the God of Truth and Published for the Benetif of All Seekers of Living-giving Truth in All Nations. Watchtower Bible & Tract Society. Pennsylvania. USA. 1965 Starts with saying that spacemen failed to see god and later points out that the Noah didn't observe the Sabbat. Written by the Jehova's Witnesses (althought not actually stated) all other religions, Christian or otherwise are dissected as having flaws.
	Can A Young Man Trust His Bible? by Arthur Gook Pickering & Inglis Ltd. London. 1959 Can he? CAN he? Slim paperback which has been translated into Icelandic, Swedish, Finnish, Danish, Norwegian, French, Spanish, German, Estonian, Russian, Chinese and Braille for the blind. Chapter 1 starts "My answer is- Yes," which takes the mystery out of the book. Has a chapter "the Critic Criticised."
	Just Friends? A Practical Guide to Boy-Girl Friendships A Reliable Booklet for Young Men and Women by Father and Son Welfare Movement of Australia, Aust. 1955 First edition. Paperback. Printed by "A Specialist organisation in the field of sex education, marriage and family life." The answer is pretty much a resounding NO unless you are wooing to wed. Pictures include photographs of wholesome activities as tug-o-war and reading near but not next to a girl. Ads include one for diamond rings and show a happy bride, one for the Commonwealth Bank and Coca-cola.

	Russia, Israel, Christ and You! By Percy Bilton Tindal Press, Essex. 1960. Slim paperback. Second edition with 50 000 sales. Includes b&w photographs of places of interest, Russia and Isreal. Contains a graph of the Jewish population and a map of "Israel's Right To the Land" of Syria and Arabia. Also reprints war time enlistment postcards and cartoons.
	Things In Me that make me a Believer with chapters on Sex Instruction by W. V. McEvoy, O.P. St Dominics Priory, Victoria. 2nd Edition. Pre 1966. The Human Mating Instinct takes up a chapter. A good look at human physiology which makes the author believe in God. Decent medically accurate drawings, but not conclusions. Eg, knees are self lubricating ergo proof of God.

Chapters include "On Trouble, "On The Problem of Suffering, "On Sin, "On Temptation, "On Misunderstanding, "On Berevement," and "On Failure."
	History of the Conflict Between Religion and Science by John William Draper, M.D., LL.D. The Pioneer Press. London. 1923 Hardcover. Covers the origin of science, the age of the earth, the origin of Christianity, Conflicts between scripture and scientific teaching, the location of heaven and hell and so much more. Where the author stands is not made obvious, but possibly leans towards science. Index of names and events of the back.

Hardcover on missionaries and their exploits in Africa. Told in easy to read english aimed at primary school children. Coloured frontispiece with half-tone plates and black and white line drawings. Inscription at front dates this book at 1934.

Seddon Church Army bookshops,Sydney NSW. 1931 Second paperback edition of a one-sided history of the Church of England in Australia, first printed in 1891 where the church is compared to various body parts. Told in conversational fiction between John and the Vicar, Tom and Mrs Forbes.

	Jesus Christ- Man, God or Myth? With a special Chapter on "Was Jesus A Socialite?" by George Whitehead The Pioneer Press. London. n.d. Current topical books advertised at the back include "Christianity & Slavery," "Determanism or Free Will," "Religion & Sex," "Theism or Atheism" and quite a few by the author on socialism. It isn't apparent what the author thinks at a glance.

Fourth edition, revised and enlarged. Section 6 contaions sins contrary to religion by excess including Casting of Lots, Spiritual Healing, Hypnotism, Magic, Vain Observance etc. The appendix includes Medico-moral problem such as cancer of the cervix, Human Monsters and X-rays. And much more.
	Radio Replies in Defence of Religion given from the Catholic Broadcasting station 2SM, Sydney, Australia by the Rev. Dr. Rumble, M.S.C. Pelegrini & Co Ltd. Australia. 1936 Hardcover book about talkback radio and conversations concerning the nature of religion. Questions range from "the goddess Mary," "Why has the church changed?" to "Isn't accepting original sin like hanging me for a murder I didn't commit?"
	Infallible Fallacies An Anglican reply to Roman Catholic Arguments by Some Priests of the Anglican Communion. Morehouse-Barlow Co. New York. 1953 Chapters include "Are Anglican Priests Really Priests?" and "Henry VIII Did Not Found The Anglican Church." Book itself assures us that Catholics will find it Anti-Catholic but the back cover has a long quote by the Archbishop of Canterbury.
	The Atonement Helps to Belief by William Connor Magee, D.D., the Late Archbishop of York. Cassell & Company, Ltd., London. 1892 Small hardcover from the Helps To Belief Series which is "A Series of Helpful Manuals on Religious Difficulties of the Day," others which are listed at the back of the book, along with "Heart Chords," a series of works by Eminent Divines.
	More of Jesus, Less of Me. And entirely new and revolutionary approach to weight control. by Joan Cavanaugh with Pat Forseth Logos International, New Jersey. 1976 You can lose weight if you believe in Jesus, apparently. It's only in the final chapter called "Not By Bread Alone" does it give physical diet tips. The rest is about thinking about it and Jesus and usually Satan. The author went from 104kg to what is described as "skinny" and looks to be around 70kg.

Looks at the life of Jesus from the Nativity, the name of Jesus, the visit of the Magi, his childhood and onwards to the last supper. Includes parables and all the usual things but written to include the more mandane aspects of his life also.

Bizarrely named book for lecturing small children on every moral topic. Includes a footnote of props the storyteller might like to use and where to get them- eg United States Passport, a measuring tape or an anchor (of any kind).
