MEDIEVAL
STOOL or POT STAND TUTORIAL
Making a 14th century low stool
using non-historical methods and tools.
I have limited woodworking
skills but that sure doesn't stop me from making things.
Here I show you how I made
a medieval-type low stool. It's not histprical woodwork. I recomment
St Thomas Guild Blogspot if you're that way inclined. For
the rest of us who want to have a crack at it, here's what I did
to make mine.
You will need:
Timber (I used offcuts I already had, but you can use whatever
size you like best), pencil, something round to draw an arch,
nails, hammer, drill, wood glue and a jigsaw (if you have one,
or know a friend who can cut that bit for you. But seriously,
these are great fun if you like curved bits!)
